Dan Snyder Foundation Donation
WMHA would like to thank the Dan Snyder Foundation for donating Training Aids to our association to help further the development of our players. We are encouraging our Coaches/Trainers to fully utilize these training aids for both on ice and off ice training and conditioning. Many teams have already started incorporating the training aids into pregame warm-ups and off ice dryland.
We have arranged for these aids to be stored in a lock box at the North end of the Snyder arena where teams warm up. The key is at the front desk and can be signed out for use before/after games.
Training Aids for On & Off Ice Training include:
- Agility Ladders
- Medicine Balls
- Parachutes
- Evasion belts
- Wobble boards
- Speed Hurdles
- Attack Triangles
- Sweet Hands
Thank you again to the DS Foundation for the support of our players development.

How the player movement effects Woolwich players
With each year there are changes to rules and this next season will be one, with the greatest impact with the Made for Ontario Player Movement Policy. In short any one wishing to do AAA tryouts all rules stay the same; first register with your home association and pick up a permission to skate form. The dates for the AAA tryouts will be this spring starting the week of April 11 in Guelph or Waterloo. I will be signing these forms again this year, however at this point they will not be ready until the first week of April.
The next phase of the player movement for Woolwich players if AAA is not an option is AA at an OMHA AA center which is Guelph and this is the only option as our Association has a base rating of single A. For anyone who wants, here is the full motion to read.
