The Woolwich Major Peewee A team captured their 4th consecutive Tri-County Championship with a decisive 3 game sweep in the best of 5 series against a very physical Caledon team. Congratualtions to the boys and coaches for a great season!!

Congrats to the Bantam LL#4 team who went undefeated during the South Huron Bantam LL Tournament in Exeter, Ontario on Dec. 29, 2009. In the final game they beat another undefeated team to claim the championship! Way to go team.

Congrats to the Minor Midget A’s. They won Gold for their division at the Hespeler Olympics Hockey Tournament winning the gold medal game 2-1 against Lincoln

Congrats to the Minor Atom A team. This past weekend they were in Pittsburg, PA and were finalists. We won 5-0, 6-0 and 7-1 an lost 3-2 in double overtime in the final.

History is made as the Woolwich Wildcat PeeWee A team is the first home team to hoist a championship trophy in the new arena. Congrats guys!

Just a clarification on how the 6 winners for the lunch with the Thrashers. The orgainizing committee wanted to ensure all Woolwich kids had a chance so all registered members of WMHA and the Wild were entered into a hat and drawn. The winners were then notified to ensure they could show up.

On October 18, 2009 the NHL's Atlanta Thrashers came to the new Woolwich Memorial Centre to conduct a team practice. The team was there to honour the memory of their friend and former teammate Dan Snyder. They will have a full practice in the Dan Snyder Memorial Arena starting at 1:00. ch, the team will be available to sign autographs. They will be leaving at 4:00 sharp. There is no charge for this event, but we are asking people attending to make a donation to a local organization called the Friends of Hockey. Donation boxes will be available at the front entrance.

Congrats to the Major Novice A team as they won the Aurora Black and Gold Thanksgiving Tournament over the weekend. The team displayed an amazing amount of teamwork and went undefeated beating Dorchester in the final game by a score of 2-1.

Congrats to the Major PeeWees. They were finalist in the Bradford Blue and Gold Tournament this past weekend. They took it to a shootout in the final.
